The success of Carman’s, now exported to more than 30 countries, landed Carolyn in the top 25 of BRW’s 2014 Young Rich. Yet Carolyn, 40, says she never set out to achieve such success.
“I started out on a check-out at Coles, and that’s the joy of being in Australia. You can start out and build up.”
Carolyn’s business acumen has led to a number of accolades including being named the 2012 Telstra Australian Business Woman of the Year and the winner of 2007 Ernst & Young’s Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. She is also a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
As a proud mother of four young children with her husband Peter, Carolyn has a strong commitment to healthy work-life balance which is also reflected in the supportive culture of the Carman’s office..Carolyn will tell her story and relay her philosophy about how to achieve success.
Two of the Women in Business Hear Them Roar Videos will also be screened at this event - one featuring Janice Summerhayes and the other featuring Chris Hillis and Sarah Wardman
