What is your work/passion/ side-hustle?

In September 2022 I took the leap after almost twenty years working as an employee and started my own accounting business. I have never felt prouder since becoming a real “Woman in business” and I love the freedom and ability that becoming self-employed has given me to be authentically myself in every aspect of how I am now living my life. I am passionate about getting the best results for my clients and helping them re-adjust their mindset around their business to become happier, wealthier, and more effective business owners.

2. Beyond the 9 to 5 – what do you live for?

Family is the most important thing in my life, I am so lucky to have a supportive mum and sister, a great husband and two darling children. I am so grateful to have my babies after a long battle trying to conceive them and thankfully through the miracle of IVF Emily came along in 2019 and Bryce in 2021. I also love all of my friends so much and am so grateful for the time we spend together.

I am in love with all things art and design and have enjoyed every moment of planning the interior and exterior for our home and garden over the past few years which is really paying off now. I have recently joined a book club with some amazing women and am loving how exciting it has been to read some different genres and authors that I would not usually choose and love the catch ups where we talk about everything and then save 20 mins to discuss the book!

3. How did you land in Wagga - Are you Wagga born and bred, grew up here moved away and returned, moved here later in life and stayed because you love it, or something else that landed you here?

I moved to Wagga with my mum and sister from Orange around 1990. We moved to Wagga to be closer to my grandparents who lived in Cootamundra.

4. Woman (famous or not) you are most inspired by and why?

I am really inspired by Greta Thunberg. Her courage and determination to stand up for what is right and let her voice be heard regarding the climate change disaster is heroic.
