2018 Mentor Profile: Judy Galloway
Director, Sureway Employment & Training
Judy is the Founder of Sureway Employment and Training, a company which has been involved in the delivery of Employment Services for over 20 years.
Judy began delivering training to industry in the early 1990s following which she was given the opportunity to train long-term job seekers. This lead to a successful bid to deliver Employment Services on behalf of the Federal Government. During her operational tenure Sureway’s service delivery was expanded to include 16 Employment Service Areas in NSW, Vic and South Australia.
To deliver these services Sureway employs 320 staff and works with in excess of 15,000 Job Seekers across rural, regional and remote Australia. Judy has a strong appreciation of the issues facing rural communities and has spent much of her working hours addressing issues relating to regional employment and training issues. Outside of work Judy was a Board Member of the Southern Sports Academy for 10 years and Chairperson of that organisation for the last 4years. Judy was the Vice Chairperson for the Riverina Vocational Education and Training Awards having served on that Committee for 12 years.
Judy is also well known in using her business knowledge to establish the Committee for Wagga. Judy remains passionate in her desire to assist regional communities in particular the more disadvantaged within those communities.
