Roslyn was creating start-up businesses at an early age; with a bread run in Temora; followed by a Marketing company in regional NSW; a Career Management organisation in Sydney; and most recently opening Mock Orange cafe in Wagga's Lake Albert.
In between these business adventures Roslyn worked in both private and public sector industries, predominantly in HR or Senior Management roles.
She has been a recipient of a Premiers award for Business and Financial Management, a NSW Australian HR Institute award in People Management and a past finalist in both Wagga's Golden Crow and Telstra's start up business awards.
Whilst no stranger to hospitality having purchased, run and then sold a cafe in Wagga 25 years ago, Roslyn has taken her collective management experience to inject a new way of doing business at Mock Orange.
As a cancer survivor and mother to a fully grown son who lives in Sydney, she decided to create a business that would be a vehicle to attempt to fulfill her life's goals! That being to improve her local community through practical projects like a kiosk on Lake Albert's foreshore that funds a Fountain to filtrate the water of the lake and provide a tourist attraction to Wagga.
Other initiatives include the cafe supporting chemotherapy patients who dine for free at Mock Orange; and one day she hopes to fund the creation of Wiradjuri cultural classes. Roslyn has been trained as a Company Board Member and is passionate about seeing more Women in leadership positions.
